ECHO is an emission-free, reliable and safe system for handling of petroleum coke in delayed coker units (DCUs).
During decoking, the coke is cut from the coke drum using high-pressure cutting water. ECHO ties in directly below the coke drum by crushing the petroleum coke inline. The coke is then pumped into a dewatering bin, where the water drains off, and eventually transferred to a conveyor system.
On the water side, ECHO ensures highly efficient separation of coke fines, producing clean water that can be reused without any restrictions.
Key advantages compared to an open pit:
- Zero emissions, completely closed system
- No water loss
- Less footprint and resuced superstructure height
- Low operation costs
